The functions of bylaws are to reflect the goals of an organization. Bylaws give members of a group or organization direction and guidelines for what is accepted behaviour within the particular organization. If the boundaries of an organization are defined but the function is not, problems like conflict of interest, misdirection or misbehaviour can occur.
